Terms of Use

These terms cover your use of this website and of ViewerFX for Crystal Reports, operated and published by Origin Software, Inc. ("Origin Software", "we", "us"). By accessing or using our services in any manner, you agree to be bound by these terms. They reflect the Origin Software terms of service; the full company terms are available at originsoftware.net/legal/terms.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use our services. Our services are intended for business use, except the ViewerFX Free edition.

Your license to use ViewerFX

Subject to these terms and your edition, Origin Software grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, and revocable license to use ViewerFX for your internal business purposes. ViewerFX is offered in Free, Standard, and Site desktop editions; the scope of each is described on the pricing and editions pages.

You may not:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the software, except where that restriction is prohibited by law;
• Copy, modify, or create derivative works of the software;
• Use the software to build a competing product;
• Circumvent or disable any security or licensing features;
• Resell, rent, sublicense, or otherwise commercially exploit the software or services except as your license permits.

Discontinued editions

The Server edition is no longer offered for sale. Valid Server licenses obtained before its discontinuation remain governed by these terms and continue to be honored and supported. This does not affect the editions currently offered, which are Free, Standard, and Site.

Using this site

You may browse the site, download the ViewerFX trial, and use the content for evaluating and working with our products. You may not scrape the site at disruptive volume, misrepresent its content as your own, or attempt to interfere with its operation.

Intellectual property and trademarks

Origin Software retains all rights, title, and interest in the software, this website, and their content, including text, graphics, screenshots, and logos, which are protected by copyright and other laws. ViewerFX is a registered trademark of Origin Software, Inc. Crystal Reports is a trademark of SAP SE; SAP and other product names mentioned are trademarks of their respective owners, and their use here does not imply endorsement or affiliation.

If you send us feedback or suggestions, you grant Origin Software a perpetual, royalty-free license to use them without restriction or obligation to you.

Purchases and fees

ViewerFX licenses are one-time purchases processed by Wave through secure checkout links. Prices are listed on the pricing page. All fees are non-refundable unless stated otherwise at the time of purchase.

Disclaimer of warranties

The services are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. ViewerFX renders and exports the reports you open; the reports and their data are provided by you, and any output is for informational purposes only. Output should be reviewed and validated by appropriately qualified individuals and does not constitute professional advice.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Origin Software will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the services will not exceed the greater of the amounts you paid to Origin Software in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred U.S. dollars (US $100).

Termination

Your license is revocable. We may suspend or terminate it if you breach these terms. On termination, you must stop using the software.

Governing law and dispute resolution

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or the services will be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association in Sacramento, California. You and Origin Software waive the right to a trial by jury.

Changes

If these terms change, we will update this page and the date at the top.
